Meet the vowel-challanged RDGLDGRN (pronounced RedGoldGreen).
Hailing from Washington DC, the trio have fans in high places, including Dave Grohl and Pharrell no less, both of whom are huge fans of the Hip Hop three. Grohl is such a fan that he ended up playing on their debut album ASYOUDO. 'Hi, it's Dave Grohl, I'd like to play drums on your album and stuff if that's cool.' Pharrell is their writer-at-large penning hits for them and they also have Beastie Boys right-hand Mario C on board.
They also have VERY good taste in watch-wear.
The three mix up Hip Hop, Rock and Go-Go into a thrashingly riotous fest of drums, guitar, rap and three different coloured t-shirts (a bit like JLS, but also not). Their album, including the track above, was recorded at the legendary Sound City in LA, where Nevermind was recorded no less, and which was the subject of a critically acclaimed documentary recently.
